These are my last 3 weeks worth of trips to Kroger. I just got behind in posting. I am not finished for this week but figured I should get caught up on my posting LOL. I envision at least 3 more trips to Kroger before next Tuesday because of the coupons I have and are getting through this weekend.

Some of the clothes were new with tags and most all were name brand... I could care less what brand he wears BUT the resale value is way better for brands like Gymboree, Gap, Children's Place ect. so I get the name brands for cheap and then can resell them when he out grows them better than if I bought brand new Walmart brand clothes and tried to resell them.

I just saw that this sale goes until 3/23 WOOHOO!! because there are lots of FREE deals!

Heres some of the crazy deals that I am going take advantage of... lots of these deals are NOT listed in the ad. I found them by looking around the stores for the mega event tags, talking to friends (THANKS MEGAN), and lurking on Hotcouponworld under other Kroger Districts. I will update this after my trip tomorrow if any of the deals do not work out.

Kitchen Tip Tuesday

Super Easy Lowfat Banana Chocolate Muffins

1 white cake mix
3 small/med bananas
3 egg whites
1 1/3 cup of water
3/4 cups chocolate pieces or chips
(I used chopped dark Hershey kisses because I got them for close to free after Valentines day at Walgreens with a coupon)

Follow cake mix directions (but no oil, instead add the bananas before beating!)- fold in chocolate, bake according to cake directions- pull out 2 minutes early. 24 servings - Around 125 calories per muffin and 2 grams of fat

Bottled Water

I read this story about how Coke and Pepsi are scared that because of the economy people will stop buying bottled water. The story was so-so but the comments that people left were highly thought provoking. Several people talked about the environmental concerns brought on by the sheer volume of non-recycled plastic bottles, to this some people pointed out that people buy cokes and mt. dews in plastic bottles all the time so why pick on people who drink water? That made me remember when you could still buy soda in glass bottles and cans and that was it. I wonder if it was costs or convenience that caused the plastic craze of today?? Probably costs: plastic is CHEAP. I hate plastic. I want to replace all the kid's plastic toys with wooden, all my plastic food containers with glass, and all of our plastic drinking bottles with metal ones.... that is my eventually goal. For right now I would settle with me remembering to take my cloth shopping bags with me when I go to the store.

A trip to a consignment sale!

This week has been super busy. I had class and work and a conference that I presented at and I finished and mailed my application for counselor license Also tomorrow we have 2 first birthday parties to go to for some of Jackson's little friends, so I had to get presents and outfits taken care.

Last Sunday, I went to Rhea Lana's children's consignment sale in North Little Rock.
